Bible Verse Flower
You'll need:
green, red and yellow construction paper. fine point black marker, scissors, glue, pencil

Directions:
Before class begins, teachers should have the stem, the leaves, the center of the circle and 5 petals traced on paper and ready for the children to cut out. Or, you can have them already cut out for the children to glue together.

The circle should be approx. 2 1/2 inches accross and the petals need to be large enough to write a Bible verse on each one.

Have children glue the petals to the back of the circle. Then have them glue the stem to the back of the flower. Then glue the leaves to the back of the stem.

Now, write a Bible verse on each petal.

Some examples:

~God is love.
~~~1John 4:8
~Honor your father and your mother. ~~~Exodus 20:12
~You are the light of the world. ~~~Matthew 5:14
~Even a child is known by his doings. ~~~Proverbs 20:11
~Fear not, for I am with you.
~~~Isaiah 43:5

Now have the children glue the entire flower to a sheet of construction paper.
