construction paper,yarn,masking tape,hole punch
Cut a coat or jacket shape out of construction paper. Punch a series of holes around the perimeter spaced about 1 inch apart to allow the child to "sew". Cut a length of yarn and tie a knot at one end, and wrap a piece of masking tape around the other. Have the child "sew" the string through the holes. They can also decorate the garment with colorful markers or crayons. You can use this craft when doing the story about Dorcas.
Tip: to prevent tears while "sewing" you may want to laminate the construction paper coats ahead of time, before you punch the holes
