Edible Cornucopia
You'll need:
pointed sugar cones (1 per child),baking M&M's,miniature marshmallows,candy corn,cereal,mini-pretzels,optional: raisins (don't use for very young children),plastic bowls with spoons,plastic wrap,rubber bands,and covered work area

Directions:
Give each child a (pointed) ice cream cone (their own cornucopia) and demonstrate how to carefully put spoonfuls of the various goodies into their cornucopia. Wrap securely with plastic wrap and put a rubber band on to help hold the treats into place until the time for them to be eaten.

This is a great way to talk about the symbolic meaning of the cornucopia and why it is often used around Thanksgiving Day.
