Gourmet Mac and Cheese fit for Thanksgiving!!
You'll need:
1 pound elbow macaroni, 3 cups half and half, 12-18 American or Cheddar cheese slices (get the good stuff) and 12 Ritz crackers, salt, pepper, paprika, spoons, zip-lock bag.

Before the children come to the table, I would have the macaroni already cooked and drained and in a bowel sitting in front of them.

The macaroni should be cooked until tender, but still firm.

Go ahead and turn on the oven to 350 degrees as soon as the child starts preparing the dish.

Have child spoon a third of the pasta into the pan.
Then pour in 1 cup half and half.
Then cover the pan with 4-6 slices of cheese.

Repeat this process twice more so that you have 3 layers of noodles and cheese.

Place Ritz crackers in a zip lock back and crush them.

Sprinkle crackers over the top of the dish.

Sprinkle salt, pepper and paprika lightly over the top.

Bake about 30-40 minutes.

Serves 6-8

Kids love this because they can do it all by themselves and it tastes so yummy when it is done!!
