David and Goliath
You'll need:
Drawstring bags (make ahead),smooth stones (5 per student) ,rough stones,glitter glue |
Directions:
Read the story of David and Goliath. Explain that David chose 5 smooth stones but used only one. Have them choose five SMOOTH stones. Explain the difference between smooth and rough if needed and also have them count out 5 exactly. Paint one stone with glitter glue. Decorate the bags and put the stones in. The boys in my class loved to tie the drawstring loop around their belt loops. We also used beanbags to try and and hit a giant Goliath face taped toward the ceiling.
